    UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS

Silvus StreamCaster radios equip your teams with reliable bi-directional UAV communication for highspeed data and high-resolution video transfers in unpredictable environments. Traditional Tier 1 and 2 systems use separate line-of-sight communications links for video and C2. These systems often have trouble maintaining connectivity when flying at lower altitude in high scatter or non-line-of-sight environments. Silvus’ robust RF and proprietary networking protocols provide a self-healing, self-forming mesh network that self-optimizes, requiring no operator involvement.

    CRITICAL UAV COMMUNICATION APPLICATIONS

    • ISR
    • IED detection
    • Swarm/mesh operation
    • Relay/range extension
    • Battlefield data dissemination
    • Law Enforcement
    • SIGINT/EW
    • UAV/UGV teaming
    • Manned/unmanned teaming
    • Agriculture
    • Infrastructure inspection
    • Border Security
  • Unmanned ground tank

    UNMANNED GROUND SYSTEMS

Robotics missions require dependable communications that perform reliably in scenarios where operator involvement ranges from impractical to impossible. Silvus StreamCaster radios excel in nonline-of-sight tele-robotics missions in harsh urban environments and remote locations. Penetrate deep into buildings, culverts and other complex structures at a safe distance with a bi-directional signal that automatically shifts between 15+ discreet operating modes to adapt dynamically to changing channel conditions.

    FOR ALL UNMANNED GROUND APPLICATIONS

    • Bomb detection/disposal (IED/EOD)
    • Hazmat
    • Route clearance
    • Medivac
    • Supply
    • Combat engineering
    • UAV/UGV teaming
    • Manned/unmanned teaming
  • Unmanned boat in water

    UNMANNED SURFACE SYSTEMS

Silvus StreamCaster radios are able to harness signals reflected on the water to increase the reliability and robustness of surface communications. What was previously a cause for interference is now an asset that increases range, throughput and reliability for real-time transmission of video and data. With self-healing self-forming mesh network capability, Silvus radios are a flexible solution for multi-vessel operations.

HIGH PERFORMANCE IN A RANGE OF UNMANNED SURFACE SCENARIOS

    • ISR
    • Swarm/mesh operation
    • Relay/range extension
    • Manned/unmanned teaming
    • Ship-to-ship
    • Ship-to-shore

Link Analysis, Made Easy

Silvus’ link budgeting tool is a powerful and intuitive interactive calculator, used to predict MN-MIMO link performance in a variety of LOS and near-LOS environments. Forged in theoretical calculations, and refined through years of real world data analysis, this calculator provides surprisingly accurate predictions of link performance based on a number of user-defined input parameters:

  • Input – allows user to define terrain, frequency, power levels, and antenna gain, type, and elevation
  • Output
    • Throughput vs. distance – the calculator generates a throughput curve, illustrating how link capacity is expected to vary over distance
    • Distance to horizon – predicts whether visual LOS is expected at a target distance, given user-defined TX and RX antenna heights
    • Fresnel zone – estimates the diameter of the first Fresnel zone, based on user-defined frequency and target distance
    • Link performance metrics – predicts RSSI, SNR, MCS, link capacity, and duty cycle, based on user-defined target distance
